The Vitoria Airport Promotion Company (VIA) took part in the 5th Turespaña–Aena Air Connectivity Conference on 28 and 29 April 2026, held in Reus (Costa Daurada), one of the leading events in Spain’s tourism and aviation sectors.
Organised by Turespaña and Aena, in collaboration with the Catalan Tourism Agency and the Tourism Board of the Tarragona Provincial Council, the event brought together tourist destinations, airlines and airports to boost air connectivity for Spanish destinations.
On the first day, bilateral sessions were held between airlines and destinations as short meetings to facilitate direct contact among participants.
The second day focused on a technical programme under the theme “Destinations, airlines and airports: building partnerships for connectivity”, featuring panel discussions and presentations on the state of the airline industry, route planning and strategic collaboration among key industry players.
In addition, the event included networking opportunities and side events designed to promote the exchange of best practices and strengthen professional relationships, establishing itself as a key platform for improving air connectivity and enhancing the profile of tourist destinations.
